Almost a January thaw
near 30 F,
icicles melted
broke off
roofs have jagged teeth
instead of fangs.
.
Bianca, my cat,
decided that maybe
she’d honor me
by taking a nap…
not on my lap
but stretching from my
shoulders to my lap.
It’s difficult to do anything
with her in that position,
so covered us
with a lap robe,
put the laptop away,
turned out the light
and joined her.
She, after a couple
of hours,
suddenly decided when
it was time to wake up,
jumped up and headed
to the kitchen for a snack.
☺

PS Happy Birthday,
Elvis, I know you
are “In The House”
Any “Elvis Day” or sighting,
I always have fond memories of my
roommate from nurses training…
she is still a die hard Elvis fan,
I being a convert because of her.
.

Bianca studiously ignoring me…looks like she is trying to peak and see if I am still there with the camera☺

I love how your cat rules your life…like my dogs. At the moment, my mouse is positioned on Zoe’s back and we’re cramped in the most uncomfortable (for me) position, but if I don’t let her up with me, she won’t stop barking. Oy Vey. Do we spoil then, or what!?

Your dogs, my cat are NOT spoiled…they just get their own way ! My cat is part Siamese and she can turn the Siamese voice on at a moderate pitch and just keep upping the volume if I don’t pay attention to her !
My cat is a rescue … she’d been returned to the shelter 3 times after she was brought there. It’s a long story, but I told the shelter when they told me I could bring her back if I needed to, that if she left with me, I would find a way to get along with her. ☺
Thanks for taking time to comment…I appreciate it.
Peace.

Sometimes its just not worth the fight to do what YOU want to do, is it. Sometimes, the cat just has a better idea.
