Solitude 3

There’s a difference
I think,
between liking to be in
solitude,
and
feeling alone or
lonely.
.
Solitude,
one is at peace with their
inner self,
there is comfort
spending time with ones
own soul or
spirit.
.
Feeling alone,
a little like feeling lost,
and there’s no one out there
for you.
No one to call
and share the days
experiences or
trials.
.
Feeling lonely,
feeling a need for someone else
to be there…
restless by one’s own
thoughts.
.
Uncomfortable
entertaining one’s self.
Or feeling lonely,
as a parent,
can be the feeling
a need for another adult to share
the day,
no one to talk to
just there with
your own thoughts.
.
Solitude.
Being at home in one’s skin
and thoughts.
Comfortable
spending time in one’s own space…
be it a man cave,
den or
workspace.
.Solitude.
Created in a room full of people,
excluding all others,
or
in the woods,
far, far a way from the maddening
crowd
of people grabbing a bit of you
piece by piece…
like leaches
or paracites.
.
Solitude.
Longed for my many.
Attained by few.
A gift or regeneration
from the soul.
.
Peace to all.
.
Solitude.
