I have been watching the news from North Dakota…I am from Wisconsin/Minnesota and the people of the mid west are always in my heart and prayers during desperate times like these. I remember the floods along the Mississippi, tornados, missing my parents house by two blocks and also seeing tornadoes in the distance.
When I came to Maine…forty years ago, one of the first things people taught me when I was lamenting the rain, the nitrogen that is released in a thunder storm, the wells drying up when there was a draught, and the floods…many are in danger in Maine, still of melting snow creating floods…we had an abundance of snow last winter and spring.
Thank you for sharing about your family…
Peace, Siggi in Maine.

So much rain up your way. My in-laws are in Minot N.D. where they are also pummeled with rain and flooding. My niece and her family are flooded out and staying with my brother-in-law. But you’re right, rain brings us life and beauty as well. It’s all a matter of balance I guess. Peace, Siggi.
