30 Days of Truth
Day 08 – Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
.
People who treated me poorly
were the kids in school when I changed schools,
which was often.
There were a few igunorant teachers back then, too,
saying careless things, in front of the class.
(fourth grade, Milwaukee: teacher: in front of class:
go home and tell your mother you need an undershirt
…I can’t remember the exact words at this moment,
just that she implied I was starting to “develop” and
it was showing.)
.
It never pays to be the new kid on the block.
.
In High School it was the worst…
still fume about the ignorance some days.

Jenna…as I watched my children and grandchildren go thru school, I realize it seems worse than when I was in school. Haven’t missed them, forward and onward.
Thanks for stopping by and writing a note.

I never have understood how people say “Your going to miss school years.” I have never missed those days yet.
Tilly Bud
I never believed that schooldays were the best days of our lives. And they often scar.
Hugs.

Tilly, my daughter, despite some horrible times, remembers the joys she had, and makes sure
that her children and step children don’t miss out on memories she feels “made” high school memorable: year books, dance, proms, going to graduation events. She helps a head of time
to make a dateless prom fun … going as a group of people you enjoy. I admire her. She did
attend and participate in the school events herself, but I never understood the desire.
I have never missed those days, nor do I want to go back and “do it over again”.
Thanks for your comment..look forward to your remarks.

School was the worst. If I could go back knowing what I do now, I would in a heartbeat. To do it over again the same way? NEVER! Teenagers are brutal!!!

PKLB..I gave some thought to what you said about going back knowing what I know now…
don’t think so…I’d get in so much trouble speaking up, standing up for others, it’s let well
enough alone for me.
It is so gruesome these days with bullying, cyber-bullying, kids with guns, I think, for me,
it would actually be worse. But I admire your thinking it could be done.
The one thing I “did” for my children, to which they say “why?” ☺. was make a conscious
decision to stay in one school system for their high school years. I was able to manage for
their entire 13 years of school…K-12. I think it was a good decision seeing them as adults
and the people they knew in high school are now friends. (The cliques are scattered and
they are seeing each other as individuals as adults.)
Thank you for taking the time to visit and leave a response,
