Hurricane Irene went more inland than usual…we got wind and rain, trees down.
Unusual storm…usually the coast gets the brunt of a hurricane’s winds and rain and the
interior escapes. Lost power for two-ish hours.
Church was easy…next door and there was a lull in the wind and rain.

Glad you didn’t suffer too much damage, Siggi.
We're Jumpin'
At least it did weaken some, could have been a lot worse.
I am glad I am not the only one who likes to go “joy riding” after storms to see the damage. It amazes me what these storms can do, even when their not well put together.

Jenna…while I had “pruning” of my ash tree, and the willow tree from the church had a limb ripped off,
the wind had been pretty wild…the humming of chain saws in the neighborhood told the story.
We were really lucky this time, as the storm went to the west. On the coast it can be really a lot more damaging.
Thanks for your comments.

A very matter-of-fact response. Impressive. Good to hear that it proved less devastating than expected.

David…thank you for your comments…as I’ve driven around have seen some major damage even in this
“less than major” event…trees down, some landed on homes, some just landed in the yard. Electricity is the major “invisible” problem from the storm.
