Thoughts aimlessly flow
Attempts to quiet defy,
Where is mind going
.
Focus, mindfullness
keep the mind from wandering
Quietly settles
.
Quiet the mind now
reduce anxiety focus
Quiet mind, at peace.

November 19,2011 Lunch for Breakfast....a serendipitous moment changed my meals for the day. A friend, who gets up very early, made a chicken vegetable soup with ingredients on hand, including the last of their potatoes from this years garden. It was still warm enough to eat even though it was cold outside with a brisk wind a blowin'..so I decided to have some right then and there for my breakfast, in my buddah bowl and eaten with a favorite spoon.
.

My usual breakfast: Shrimp Lime Cup of Soup ...in a glass measuring cup...after spilling the soup in my lap and legs a couple of times, I decided that if I was going to comtimue to eat in my chair in the living room and watch the Today Show. that it might not be a "pretty presentation" but it was safer. Today I added some of the chicken soup veggies and chicken from this morning

The indgredients for today's "brunch" that I ate in two parts. I almost always have a ramen soup for breakfast....I prefer the lime "shrimp" (shrimp is used loosely or roasted chicken. For many years I skipped breakfast because I just didn't feel "right" or "well" after a traditional breakfast. It turns out it was due to stress and my stomach felt better with a warm meal in the morning. In winter breakfast t is sometimes oatmeal or a cooked cereal, with sour cream in place of milk, but the soup is my routinely comforting start for the day.
