One view from my back door. Mid way you can see the Union River lightly frozen and covered with the snow of the previous night.

Feeling really cold
Expected what ? Balmy temps?
It’s winter in Maine

Winter brings sad days
Darkness creeps in, sun hiding

I’m with you all the way on the winter blues. I know it has its own beauty and love to see it but, my bones ache now too much with the cold and the ice scares me to death after the bad ankle break. Roll on spring for both of us 🙂 Happy Birthday to your son and daughter!

I love to look at winter, but not go out in it most of the time…in Maine, the temperatures
can be mild, and I don’t mind too much…but yes, waiting on spring right now.
Thanks for taking time to leave a comment.

Becca,
Thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, there is treatment…I have painted my living room a light warm beige, and have a spectrum light…it does make a difference. But my body still thinks it is hibernation time ! My message should have gone on to say the “tricks” of light work…will have to do that… thanks for the inspiration jog !

Siggi – although I am sure it’s frigid … and I don’t like being cold … the winter view is absolutely lovely!! Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is prevalent during the winter months when sunlight is limited … but there is therapy for it … and regular exposure to light that is bright, particularly fluorescent lights is helpful!!
Thank you for sharing, and happy birthday to your family members!!
