I looked out the second story window of a gallery in Town Hill Maine, and saw this tree that had during some severe weather event, split and fallen, but was still alive.
.

It is a tribute to the tree that it was left to grow in its altered state and not chopped immediately for firewood. I love trees and love to paint them…I will find a place in a painting to memorialize this tree..

I look forward to seeing your painting.
The council planted new trees in the local parks and the yobs are pulling them down, one by one. Some survive in spite of the vandalism. It is wonderful to see nature triumph.
