I was unable to post last week…I have the painting of the tree
and the wedding tent as I promised, two weeks ago.
The second painting, “Wedding Beauty” I did that day also
is this weeks post.
.
Two weeks in one: The paintings of the trees at Flye Point, Brooklin, Maine, USA.
The smaller painting, “Wedding Tent” was my primary painting.
“Wedding Beauty” I painted because patience is a virtue, and I’m out of that virtue
when it comes to painting and just waiting for the paint to dry for the next application
of paint ☺
.

The Wedding Tent at Flye Point, Brooklin, ME, USA 6″ x 6″ acrylic on canvas. Painted En Plein Aire (in fresh air or outside on site).
.

“Wedding Beauty” 12″ x 12″, acrylic on canvas. Painted En Plein Aire. The mountains across from where I was painting “The Wedding Tent”. While waiting for the paint to dry on the smaller painting I painted the site across the water. I was told that at low tide, the previous Friday, a couple was married here on the huge rocks at the shore line that are covered during high tide. The trees look to be a solid mass due to the distance from shore to shore.

Becca,
My second water color teacher said, and the first would agree: to do one of 3 things:
sun dry, wait patiently;
hair dryer; or,
brew a cup of tea, sit by a window and watch the world go by…that is his favorite way to dry a watercolor
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment
Peace,
