Spring on Bridge Hill…
fans of spring green…
first leaves just starting
against the bare trees
of winter’s rest.
Summer arrives, the mature
leaves in multi-hues
of green, reds, browns
create a beautiful
palette thru the summer,
providing shade, a home for
creatures of the land and air.
The cycle of the leaves is growing
to a close til next spring.
Downeast Maine has a beauty
in their foliage through the year
How beautifully leaves grow old.
The falling leaves are a confetti
of color floating through the air
and a patch work quilt of many
colors on the ground.
