I lived in Japan for a time when my first husband
was stationed there on a Navy base.
On a clear day, Mt. Fuji could be clearly seen
from near my house.
When we decided to drive to the mountain,
I was surprised by the patience of the people
in the long line of cars waiting to get to the
base where the path led to the top.

Indeed…but some of the Japanese spring visitors are here in Maine…
spring visitors to this area start earlier and earlier by the car and busloads.
It is a rare day unless to paint a scheduled site do I venture across the bridge to Mount Desert Island after my spring visit to Cadillac Mountain…where the traffic in the summer resembles that to Fuji☺
