I lost 15 feet off the top of this tree during Plato, after I wrote the haiku !

Tuesday February 19, 2013 from the driveway front of the house
you can see where the piece snapped off. My house is a two story bungalow.

My toad house.
MUST be moist
I HATE the heat.
A moist water bed
would be delightful…
with a view of the pond
… I’m the nervous type
needing one eye out
for peeping frogs
named Tom, Dick
and Harry:
other creeps,
creatures.

The Nor’easter winter storm the past few days was named “Plato”…
and had winds over fifty MPH.
The winds changed directions rapidly and it is thought that the
rapid push and pull of the gale force winds snapped the 15 feet of
the tree top off.
.
Tonight’s Winter Storm “Q” is going inland, and the Downeast coast of
Maine, USA, has been forecast, to quote the weather man on the local
news this evening … “slush”. (I live between Bangor and Bar Harbor
mid way up the coast of Maine).

The tree WAS almost as tall as the church steeple next door…the church is at the top of the hill of the street I live on…the photo also is a bit off kilter to get both in the photo.

Tuesday, February 19, 2013, 15 feet of tree on railing of back deck. I was finding pieces
of the tree on the front lawn yesterday, Monday. Laughed and thought WoW !
Today, not laughing and saying “Blessed.”
.
You can see where it snapped off going back and forth in the winds.
.
I never heard a thing…a big surprise this morning looking out the
dining room window ! As far as I can tell, no damage to the house,
roof or windows…. it landed on the deck railing.
