Great Aunt Jenny had wine at suppertime
“for medicinal purposes only” she’d say
each night when she visited with us. She
lived to a ripe old age, lived to over 100.

haha…aunt jenny sounds like quite the character…i think small doses of alcohol are indeed not bad for the health..they say the french have less heart problems because of the red wine they drink..so…smiles

My Auntie Dorothy always used to say her sherry before dinner was for medicinal purposes. As was the wine with dinner and the whiskey afterwards. I never did find out who her Dr was 🙂
