Little Ones is a new special
from Carpe Diem
where we are challenged to produce
a small Haiku form such as a Pi-ku.
Pi-ku is a haiku form based
on the mathematical number Pi,
it’s value is 3,14
this value is seen
in the three lines:
1st = 3 syllables;
2nd = 1 syllable
and 3rd = 4 syllables.

thanks for the visit and comment. It’s still raining…luckily I live on the top of a hill…canoe would still be handy at high tide if I venture into town !

rain’s downpour
deluge
I love the first two lines. Makes me think of all kinds of things including floods. trapped in flood (?) or quenches dry earth (?).

Wonderfully done! So picturesque i can almost feel rain tapping on the terrace 🙂

Good day Sigrid, what a joy to read the positive reactions on this new feature “Little Ones”, and the Pi-ku you share here is just gorgeous and has a bit of humor in the third line as you write NOW in capitals. Thank you for your daily effort to write and share haiku (and other Japanese poetry forms 🙂 ) with us here on Carpe Diem.

If I could only count ! But I like the challenge of the different types…even the ones that I have difficulty with like the Tarot cards, Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to write a comment…I treasure it. Thank you for all your hard work on the blog.
Peace
Siggi
