I’m sorry the house looks crooked… I live
on a hill and have to go up the steep drive way
across the street, and, it seems I straighten
the street, and so the house is crooked
on almost every photo I take of it !
My two story bungalow…as you can
see it has dormers on all sides…
take my word for on the back!
For years often when it rained,
I would be woken up by drip, drip,
drip, …drip,. drip on my head…
and I sleep on the first floor.
For over 30 years…a LONG time,
it was a periodic problem.
And then, …………and THEN,
I found someone who
fixed the leaks
around the dormers…
a “dormer problem
that is hard to resolve”
the roofers would say
….and I can sleep
a tarp and buckets
to put on the waterbed
on first floor !
I can tell you !
roof leak fixed
before the gully washer
no rain drops first floor

That’s excellent reason to celebrate!
I love your house.

Thanks for the comment….and yes, the celebration after every dry storm goes on.
The carpenter knows how much I welcome not wondering if “this will be the storm” of no sleep…usually heavy rain with wind from inland.
My house is a tiny bungalow from 1933.

That must feel like heaven!!

It does feel like heaven…you can’t imagine being sound asleep and waking to
drip, drip drip on your forehead in the middle of the night….when I put the waterbed in the small room, I made the mistake of putting the head of the bed against the window…and
the water came in from the lower edge of the dormer above. Sigh.
Thank you for your comment
