I’ve been to Stonehenge. You’re not allowed to touch the stones, because they will break down eventually from our corrosive body acid – never mind hundreds of years of pollution!

How wonderful to have been there. Awesome. I had remembered about the stones wearing down from pollution, and forgotten about not being allowed to touch.
Would imagine there being an essence of the past in the air…

Yes, it’s an atmospheric place, for those who have a sense of history. Not everyone does 😦

I was thinking as I typed my note that there are some blase’ people, or no sense of history that would think it was a ho hum visit to “some stones”. I’ve heard some remarkable telling of peoples visits to Stonehenge.
