.© Sigrid Saradunn 2013…in the mist and fog, and in the later rain, people keep coming with the Acadia National Park now open
to take photos of the bridge…one person leaving, another taking his place and another on the way. A tour bus earlier in the
week had let out 20 or so people who gathered along the road to take the same view of the photo.

It is a beautiful place and serene … across the street is where the library is where my painting group meets on Monday and Friday…I think of them as one big space even tho the road divides it. I love the atmosphere and am certainly blessed to spend so much time there.
Thank you for your comment.

Grace.
It is amusing sometimes to see so many people at peak times taking photos…but of course each person will have a wonderful memory of the place And how many people spend 3 hours and are able to see this when they look out the window twice a week.
The week of the partial government shutdown it was a favorite place, even in the rain for people to visit.
There is a small museum and chairs to sit and read or just zone out and relax … and there is a woodsy path to the right of the bridge along the stream.
Today, 10/20, colors on Mount Desert Island where the village of Somesville is were gorgeous. I took a ride down yesterday and again today because of the beauty and the retreat quality of the island.
Thanks for the comment,
Peace
