The prompt:
Dear Haijin, visitors and travelers,
As I started to prepare this new episode, lagoon,
the first thing which came in mind was the motion picture “The Blue Lagoon”,
with Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins in 1980.
I remember that there was a lot to do around this motion picture,
because of the nudity scenes in this movie.
As a teenager, in 1980 I was 17 yrs,
I remember that I was excited,
because nudity in such an American movie wasn’t done until than.
.
Our prompt for today is lagoon
and here are a few haiku which Jane has used
in her saijiki “A Dictionary of Haiku”.

the name makes kayaks wiggle
with laughter

Not a long episode this time and also no haiku by my self …
lack of time and inspiration …
I hope this episode will inspire you however.

Thank you for your comment… I appreciate it. I have not posted recently .. for many weeks due to my computer being
in the shop being repaired.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
Peace,

I really like the phrase “lilies greet the sun”! Certainly their blooms do reach toward the sun in my yard. Beautiful capture of the heron. I only recently saw a heron take off in flight. I’m amazed that such big birds can not only fly, but do it elegantly. thanks for taking the time to comment on my post.

Lucky you to see one in flight..
they must be quiet in flight because several “all of a sudden were near me including lookout in a tall tree.
Fascinating birds. Downeast Maine has many lily ponds and it always looks to me like they have their petals
out welcoming the sun. The heron was at a lily pond.. on the opposite side. He and I had a staring contest
for a few minutes as I slowly moved trying to get a better photo.. and he somehow kept the same pose aimed at
me the whole time !

Thanks for the kind note. I try to comment when I enjoy a post. It has been difficult for me to remember to
check the prompts since they are now in the reader… I have a new “system” to try and remember to check !
