borrowed clothes and shoes
socks he had
friends had to stay in Maine
their garments met royalty
.

note:
a friend had an invitation
to a ceremony in England where
Queen Elizabeth was giving his
sister an award. Being retired
and living in Maine, he no longer
had any occasion for proper dress
to meet the Queen. He borrowed
what he needed from his friends at
a retirement community.
