note:
both my children went to grade
school here a half block from the house.
Many changes in the district…consolidation
with remodeling and one new built.
2015 in the fall park opened and dedicated.

writersdream9 .. yes I am. The playground had just been updated … it was from the time the school was there,
and I could see families heading to it every day. It would have been a shame to tear it down and build something there.
Across the street, the school playground had been turned into a big nursing home and the moving of the basketball courts
ended up a poorly used replacement being out of sight now and off the beaten path so to speak.
“Drop in” play sort of out of sight out of mind.

There is also a walking path for the community but in particular the seniors from the senior center a half block away and
the senior apartments at one corner across the street.
.
Something for all ages and will be beautiful after a few years and the landscaping fills in.
