Thanksgiving at the Riverside
has become my family tradition
since Stacey and the girls moved to Texas.
Stacey always made the Thanksgiving Holiday
festive and yummy
and the Riverside, the Emmaus Homeless Shelter
and the volunteers do their best
to be the next best thing to going home.

turkey ~ all fixin’s
festive tables set in gold
no one eats alone
neighbor greets neighbor
left overs for tomorrow

Note:
The Riverside Cafe’, volunteers and
the Emmaus Homeless shelter
provided a free Thanksgiving meal
so no one would go with out or have
to eat alone. Over the years, we see
many of the same people and it has
a happy family atmosphere.

So nice that they do that and looks so lovely. Do you have a hard time hearing in the Riverside. I’ve been just once since they moved and the high tin ceiling I think, accentuate the acoustics of silverware and people talking. I couldn’t hear a word spoken!
