seize the poem prompt: midnight
.
My Response to the Prompt:
.
midnight
my time to shine
ten PM to 2 AM
morning people scare me
smiling and cheerful
how can that be
.

=======
note:
I am so a night person…
living in a day person’s world.
CST is where I am at even in
Downeast Maine.
… I grew up in Wisconsin
and my biorhythm is set to
the time there … any where
I have lived… I finally just learned
to accept it… but hard for others
to understand !

seize the poem prompt: silence
.
My Response to the Prompt:

miss hearing
middle of night call
promptly at 2 AM
no train whistles at crossing
silence where comforting sound
once rode the rails
.
——
Note:
The trains no longer run on this track
except for the Downeast Scenic Railroad
a fully restored operating railroad that runs
tourists excursions on this very track two
blocks from my home… and yes.. I can hear
the whistle blowing those days !
.
Visit their facebook page to see all the fun
children of all ages can have with the train.
