My father managed a Woolworth store
and was a worker bee.. out on the floor
most of the day walking making sure the
store ran smoothly, creating displays and
greeting customers.
Back in the day (1954) there were knobs to turn,
rabbit ears to adjust … remember the
aluminum foil to get better reception.
and we had a good sized living room
(and of course only 3 channels
on the tv in Milwaukee)
.
.
on his feet all day
rolled his eyes at jogging
exercise right here
pointer finger back and forth
walks ‘cross room to change channels
