This was my birthday and I almost made it home.
During the night, I became ill and ended up in the
Emergency room at the local hospital.
I wasn’t admitted, but the sick spell weakened me so
that I took me two more weeks to get the strength
to be able to walk up into my house “on a hill on a hill”
.
Living on the DownEast Coast of Maine has mostly pleasures.
The hills over granite are sometimes a challenge as roads and
homes are built to accommodate the lay of the land.

Drastic life event: nursing home for rehab
.
Exactly 3 weeks from date of knee replacement
scheduled to go to my home across the street
from the rehab home
.
