..When researching the definition of “shepherd”
I came across “Shepard’s Citations” * and had a “duh”
moment with the spelling…it seemed to fit the “shepherd”
definition of “One who cares for and guides a group of people….”
I now realize I probably misspelled the word in the search,
also, but I became really interested in the word as I read
more…til my “duh” moment.
This definition solved my curiosity as to how the lawyer’s could
find all the information of precedents in previous similar cases.
In the legal field, Shepard’s is a highly regarded citation index.
It allows researchers to track particular judicial decisions, statutes,
and other legal resources as they are invoked at different historical moments
for a range of purposes.
Shepard’s citations provide references to when and how cases and
law review articles were cited by other sources.
Citations exist for both federal and state jurisdictions.

There was a deluge as I went to take a photo
of my trees that help me feel safe … I managed
to get a photo of the red berries growing on a
vine I have no idea what it is before it really
started to pour.

Bianca August 1, 2013. About the time we found out she has cancer
and a limited time in her “9th life” (from saying about a cat has 9 lives).
She has lost over ten pounds, tires easily, but had enough energy to catch
two small field mice that came in when it rained … one just last night.

At the left of the photo, you can see the edge
of the barn door opening. We only had the
available light to use regardless of the weather.
The chicken was a very good model, but an
exception for farm animals.

You can see that an area was cleared for the
painter, sand that the barn was used for storage.
The floor area was just part of the barn’s floor.
It had long ago been used for a dance floor and
that is why it is a finished floor.
