My response to the prompt:

mocking bird
sings each summer morning
new song each day
greets day in someone’s tune
loud and clear
…..
note:
as I have a hearing loss it is difficult
for me to identify many of the sounds of
nature. One day I mentioned that there
was “an annoying” bird that woke me each
morning… and I was told that a mockingbird
settled in the lilac bushes beside my bedroom
windows each day. Since then, I have learned
to enjoy being greeted with song each summer
morning
