remembering.

my “neon” blonde hair *

I frosted my hair silver/white in Japan…
got attention and got me into traffic
at a corner where it was difficult to
cut into the line at the “T” in the road
while they looked at the American lady
with the funny hair and the blonde child.

deep in hospital bowels
under cement mixer *
The machine they had aimed at
my throat looked like a giant cement mixer.
When the tech left the room, they’d say
“don’t move” ! “No problem !”
