Kismet defines life
can’t chase, it finds each person
relax, life happens
.
Relax, life happens
just the way it’s meant for us
destiny finds each
.
Destiny finds each
live in kindness, love, peace
life rewards kismet

Lovely. I like your use of repetition.

I think whatever choices we make we are destined to make, whether we alter fate or not through them is our choice, but (I do believe) our destiny is set. I agree with you on folks being able to disagree, that is after all, what free choice and free thinking is, isn’t it 🙂

kismet I believe in… for sure… there is less free-will about then people would like to believe. Nice piece. has a kind of circularity to it. Almost palindromic regarding first and last lines

Luke,
Thank you for your wonderful reply. The kismet prompt has given me a few…and the list is growing of examples that would be appropriate for different prompts….☺.
And,
thank you for the nice words about the haiku.

your poem is inviting in its optimistic gaze. Thank you for your visit to my blog.

Adura,
thank you for your kind remark. I don’t think of myself as the optimistic person others see…so I appreciate the reminder.

Mr. Walker
You have such a positive spin on kismet, very optimistic. (Very different than my own views).

Richard,
Thank you for your kind remark. I think of myself as cynical, not optimistic, so appreciate your words.
That being said, I have found, not that I am elderly and looking back, that things that I wonder “why”,
negative things, decisions out of character like deciding to accept a decision to go see Dr Joan Borysenko
speak with hours notice, getting up waaay too early to drive hours to listen to someone I am clueless about,
has made tremendous impact on myself, my CNA students, staff, patients…
Just as the same people have made an impact on myself, my thinking.
Thank you for your remark…I don’t expect others to agree with me…just be honest in their replies if they
disagree. One does not learn, in my opinion, from “yes” people. I tried to keep my remarks short, I hope they
are clear and understandable.

You mean everything that happens is meant to happen just for us? Kill me now, if that’s true. Other people’s poor choices affect me, and my poor choices affect them. Our lives are inextricably intertwined. When a faithless spouse walks away from a marriage, is that “just the way it’s meant for us”? If that’s so, then the gods are cruel indeed, and I have no use for them!

Thank you for your comment. Yes, all our live are intertwined by personal choices. I respect
your opinion to disagree with me. Please continue to offer your thoughts whether you agree with me or not.

Charles…
What an idea…but she wouldn’t have gone for it. sigh. It was Kismet tho…no one else would have
put up with her…she was returned to the shelter 3 times after being placed there….one house had cats, one dogs and one children. SIGH.
Thanks for the nice words.
