Yes, the pain of sudden loss, like being flung into a peas soup fog 🙂

Seems like all I travel are unfamiliar roads…

Sad but indeed a great tribulation.

Cathy,
Indeed. There are many reminders of tribulation on the shores in Downeast Maine.
Small memorials to fishermen who have died at sea. This one, the barriers will serve
as a reminder and hopefully save lives. The newspaper story said that there are many
times a car has had to be retrieved off the beach but because of it being low tide,
the cars just got stuck. The barriers replaced reflector signs that were difficult to see in fog.

Bjorn,
There are many reminders in this area of tragedies. This was the only marker that I could think of that might save lives as well as be a reminder of the dangers of the unknown when not at home.(the lady was from another state, visiting).
Thanks for your comment,
Peace

There is SO MUCH that we can’t see on the unfamiliar roads!

Mark,
The older I get, the fearful driving I get thinking of all the possibilities… I hope I have become a more responsible driver because of it.
What just came to mind is because of the few roads we have, and no alternate routes that aren’t extensive distances, it is painful for the families and those who knew the people in these accidents to avoid going past the areas.
Thanks for your comment.

Tho I did not know the lady, I think of her and other sudden losses, especially sea related when ever I visit this beach.
Thank you for you very nice comment.
